Abstract

Sexual behavior in teenagers is very worrying. The average age at first sex for teenagers in Indonesia is <16 years, in Thailand 15 years, and in Ethiopia 13.7 years. This situation threatens global health, and non-virginity occurs, which has an impact on mental health, pregnancy, abortion, reproductive infections, HIV/AIDS, stunting, and maternal and child death. Serious treatment is very necessary, considering that teenagers are the next generation of a nation. Prevention of sexual behavior in adolescents requires accurate data, so this research aims to determine trends in research publications on adolescent sexual behavior (co-occurrence) and find out top citations in the 11-year period (2013-2023). The method used is bibliometric analysis, collecting data from Scopus-indexed articles that have international-level credibility. Keywords adolescent sexual behavior, articles, Indonesian and English with a total of 147 documents published; The results show that in 2013 there were 2 documents, 2014 there were 3 documents, 2015 there were 2 documents, 2016 there were 3 documents, 2017 there were 8 documents, 2018 there were 12 documents, 2019 there were 21 documents, 2020 there were 12 documents, 2021 there were 28 documents, 2022 there are 18 documents, and in 2023 there will be 27 documents. The analysis continued using Vosviewer software and the network visualization results found 67 items with mapping of 3 clusters connected to the keyword premarital sexual. It was found that new keywords linked in the last 3 years were gender, HIV, attitude to health, knowledge, attitude, premarital sexual, age and internet, this created research opportunities related to sexual behavior in adolescents in the future.
